John is talking a blue streak these days and it is so funny to hear his interpretation of things. And sometimes it is so frustrating for all of us to try and communicate. The boy has a nasty temper that flares when you don't understand what he is saying!
The evolution of his sister's name:
First it was: RoRo
Next it was: RoRo Cat
Now it is: Roy Tate
I do think it will be hard for the little girl to shake her nickname "RoRo", looks like that one is here to stay.
And he knows his daddy is Tate and his momma is Apple.
Some fun conversation.
Me: John it is time for night-night.
John: RoRo nigh-nigh too.
Me: Yes, RoryCate is going night-night too.
John: Daddy nigh-nigh too.
Me: Yes
John: DADDY NIGH-NIGH TOO!
Me: Yes, Daddy is going night-night too.
John: Mommy nigh-nigh too.
Me: Yes, mommy is going night-night too (what I didn't said: I wish I could go to bed at 7)
John: Cickey nigh-nigh too.
Me: Yes, the dogs are going night-night too.
John: JOJO AND CICKEY NIGH-NIGH.
Me: Yes, Joey and Crickett are going night-night too.
and so on, this can go on for as long as we let it...and we get to all sorts of crazy stuff like balls going night-night and trains going night-night and all his friends going night-night, etc. I am pretty sure he wants to make sure he isn't missing any fun.
This too thing translates to all apsects of life include: eating and pooping and playing and reading, John wants to know that all the world is doing exactly what he is doing.
Another cute activity is talking about "Bay-Bees" (very exaggerated pronunciation). John talks about babies all the time...anytime we pass one in the store he says "Hi-ya Bay-Bee", and then proceeds to tell me all about the baby ("baby blue shirt", "baby play toy", "baby paci", "baby hat"). And then after he is done talking about the baby, he states "RoRo are bay-bee" (our sounds like are). Very sweet.
